Land!!!

It's official. Scary, but official. After a few months of visiting and watching God add new believers to His kingdom, we are taking the next step and pleading for property in Los Fundos. The administrator of this sugarcane village assures us that we will be able to get permission to use space near the school to build the future church. We are hoping by May to be able to build a small "capilla," which is like a picnic shelter. We'll have service there in the shade of a palm grove as we pray for God's leading to build an actual church. Until then we continue to meet on benches underneath an amazing Mango tree. Sounds appealing, huh?

This past Tuesday we watched as a young mother, heart beating rapidly and brow sweating profusely, prayed to receive Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was so nervous, but knew it was the decision to make. She walked out to tell another young Christian in the village, put her hand to her heart and said "Feel. My heart sounds like I've just run a mile!" Her excitement was contagious! It encouraged us to remember our theme verse for the year: Matthew 16:18 "...upon this rock I will build my church..."

Praise Reports, Prayer Requests & Announcements

-Praise the Lord for a successful two weeks of Pastors Conferences, for relationships made, and future partnerships to Dominican Churches

-Praise for the accumulation of funds to purchase a bus. Please pray, however, for wisdom in buying the best, used bus available.

-As of March 26th we had our last service with our church family from Consuelito and Gallareta. Pray for us as we tearfully said goodbye. Pray for the church as the new pastor will soon take leadership. What a bitter sweet accomplishment!

-Pray as we seek God's will in the new church in Juan Dolio where we live. We have been asked to pray about pastoring there soon.
